Depot Street Improvements Construction- Over the past several months Village staff has worked diligently to organize the improvements to Depot Street.  The Mayor and Trustees voted to award Peter Baker & Son Company the bid to complete the construction of this project at the July 5, 2011 Village Board meeting.  The project is estimated to begin in August 22^nd 2011 and be complete on October 28^th 2011.  The project limits will be from the intersection of Longview Drive and Depot Street East to Deep Lake Road.  Construction will include pavement patching, addition of a turn lane at Osmond Park entrance, relocating of the bike route to the North side of the road, curb, gutter, and storm sewer.  Commuters should be aware that this section of the road will be under construction and it may be more suitable to travel an alternate route as there will be lane closures where only one lane of traffic will be passable during working hours with traffic control personnel.  Residents traveling in this area will find it easiest to travel the routes of North Avenue and Route 173 for getting around the closure.  If you should have any further questions or concerns relating to this project, please contact the Public Works/Engineering Department at 847-395-1881.

Lake Street Lift Reconstruction – Over the past two years Village staff has worked to organize the reconstruction of the Lake Street Lift station.  The Mayor and Board of Trustees voted to award Manusos General Contractors the bid to complete the reconstruction of the lift station at the May 16, 2011 Village Board meeting.  The project is estimated to begin August 17^th 2011 and be completed October 28^th 2011.  Construction will include installation of two large concrete structures, electrical panels, generator, and removal of existing system components.  The project limits will remain off the roadway but may require lane closure at times.  If you should have any further questions or concerns relating to this project, please contact the Public Works/Engineering Department at 847-395-1881.
