The Antioch Parks and Recreation Department offers a variety of camp options in a fun, friendly and safe environment. At camp, kids gain confidence, independence, and respect and make new friends. Campers spend the majority of the day outside, so please plan accordingly.

An adult camp director supervises each camp. The counselors at each camp site are college and high school students that are carefully chosen for their high level of enthusiasm, maturity and their interest in working with children. All staff has gone through a training program that includes supervision and safety techniques, CPR, first aid, pool safety, behavior management, and activity planning.
The Antioch Parks & Recreation Department does not provide daily transportation to or from camp; however, we do utilize a school bus for field trips. Campers do walk to and from the pool daily and to various parks and other destinations in town.

SUMMER CAMP WARM-UP- NEW
Start the summer camp season off with a week filled with games, sports, cooking, crafts, and so much more! Pick only the days you need. Campers will be divided into age groups.
Location: Parks Bldg. Time: 8:30 – 4:00 pm Grade: K-7th June 3rd – 7th
CAMP SUNSHINE- FULL DAY
At Camp Sunshine, your child will make new friends, experience new activities, and have fun! Campers will participate in a variety of activities: playground games, sports, crafts, nature, theme days, walking field trips, outdoor play – and a daily trip to the new Antioch Aqua Center, weather permitting. The campers will go on two field trips each session. You must register for a minimum of two days.
Location: Scout House Time: 8:30am - 4:00pm Grade: K- 2nd
CAMP SUNSHINE - ½ DAY - NEW
At Camp Sunshine, your child will make new friends, experience new activities, and have fun! Campers will participate in a variety of activities: playground games, sports, crafts, nature, theme days, walking field trips and outdoor play. The full day campers will go on two all day field trips each session. Half day campers have the option to attend camp on field trip days for an additional fee. (TBD).
Location: Scout House Time: 8:30am – 11:30 Grade: K – 2nd
Join your friends for some good old fashioned fun. Campers will participate in a variety of activities including, sports and games, theme days, crafts, special events, mini field trips and structured play time. For even more fun, a part of each afternoon will be spent at the new Antioch Aqua Center, weather permitting. There will be two field trips per session. You must register for a minimum of two days.

5 Star Sports Camp - New
This new camp is all about sports! Under the direction of the 5 Star Sports staff and the Parks and Rec. camp counselors, campers will play a variety of sports: basketball, volleyball, soccer, kickball, capture the flag, etc. The focus will be on skill development and technique, making sure that every camper understands the fundamentals. Campers will be put in game like situations with the emphasis on sportsmanship, team building and team strategy. Mixed in the fun will be a variety of classic recess games and activities to add a fun change of pace. Each afternoon the kids will swim at the new Antioch Aqua Center, weather permitting. There will be two field trips each session. The 5 Star Sports staff will work each day from 8:30-1:00.

COUNSELOR IN TRAINING - NEW
The CIT program is designed for campers who are interested in eventually becoming a counselor. Through this program you will have the opportunity to learn valuable skills such as behavior management, basic first aid, leadership skills, team-building, camp games and crafts, all through training and hands on activities with campers. Space is limited. All CIT’s must attend a mandatory training the week of June 3-7.

EARLY BIRD/EXTENDED DAY CAMP
For working parents that need a little extra time before and after camp, our trained staff will provide supervision, quiet time and activities. Campers will be escorted to/from their respective camp sites.
Location: Scout House Time: 6:30-8:30am and 4:00-6:00pm Grade: K-7th
Early Bird and Extended Day options are available for Summer Camp Warm- up, Camp Sunshine, Antioch Adventures, Sports Camp and Counselor in Training (CIT).
CHICAGO BULLS SUMMER CAMP
No one can teach basketball better than the Chicago Bulls! This summer, learn from the best and let the Chicago Bulls teach you how to play like a Champion! Every summer camp participant received an EXCLUSIVE UNITED CENTER EXPERIENCE!!! The summer camp is offered to two age groups. The rookie camp for children 6-8 is a beginner camp focused on building fundamentals and fun drill to get the kids to understand the game and improve their play. For the older kids, ages 9-12, coaches work on the "team" concept and refining and advancing the skills for the serious or soon-to-be-serious player. Registration for *Village of Antioch residents will take place on Saturday, April 6 from 9-11 am in the Camp Crayon classroom at the Parks and Recreation Building. *Antioch Township residents and non-residents can register from 11:00 am – noon. All registration is on a first come, first served basis.
Priority 1 - Residents wanting to register Monday – Friday (for 3 sessions)
Priority 2 - Residents wanting a minimum of 2 days (for 1, 2 or 3 sessions)
Priority 3 - Non-residents wanting to register for Monday – Friday (for 3 sessions)
Priority 4 - Non-residents wanting to register a minimum of 2 days (for 1, 2 or 3 sessions)
*Village of Antioch resident – 1-4 digit house address.
*Antioch Township resident - 5 digit house address.
Make your camp choice based on the grade your child will be entering in the fall.
Complete the Summer Day Camp 2013 registration form.
Be sure to include your child’s T-shirt size on the registration form.
Sign the waiver on the back of the registration form.
Bring proof of residency (water or electric bill).
Be at the Parks Building on Saturday morning, April 6.
$50 non-refundable registration fee – due at registration
$25 pool pass fee – due at registration
$25.00 deposit per session – due at registration
Payments must be received by the due dates listed; a $10 late fee per child will be charged for payments not received by the due date. Campers will not be allowed to attend camp until payment is made.

Refunds, less the $50 registration fee, will be processed up till one week prior to the start of a camp session. NO refunds are issued once camp begins unless it is accompanied by a doctor’s note. Refunds will be pro-rated based on when participation ends. Refund requests must be made in writing.
The $25 deposit will be forfeited for any schedule changes made prior to the start of each camp session. Changes will not be allowed after the start of each camp session.
Vacation “discounts” are available to families based on the number of sessions they have registered for. This also includes Early Bird/Extended Day.
Children registered M–F for Sessions 1, 2, and 3 receive up to 5 days.
Children registered for 3 sessions, part-time, receive up to 3 days.
Children registered for 2 sessions, part-time or full-time, receive up to 2 days.
Children registered for only one session, part-time or full-time will receive 1 day
To receive a “discount”, you will be responsible for completing a Vacation Request Form. This form is due by the payment deadline for that session. Your payment will be pro-rated accordingly. Any requests received after the payment deadline will not be honored. Your vacation request dates may not be changed or modified once the session begins.
CHILDCARE EXPENSE STATEMENTS
Each time a camp payment is made a receipt is generated. It is your responsibility to maintain all receipts for Flexible Spending Reports and Income Tax purposes. A $5 administrative fee will apply for anyone requesting a new statement. Statements will be available for pick up in the Parks Office within 48 hours of the request.
