Engineering

The Engineering Department administers and supervises the design and construction of all Motor Fuel Tax, General Obligation Bond Funds and Special Assessment projects.  The department provides engineering services for streets, alleys, sewer and water main projects, street lighting and traffic signal projects and furnishes engineering services for other Village Departments.  They oversee construction involving the public right-of-way and attend meetings with other communities, County and State officials on behalf of the Village.  This division investigates and coordinates various funding sources to improve the Village infrastructure.  The Engineering Division is also responsible for review and approval of private development plans.

Ordinance Establishing Phosphorus-Containing Fertilizer
At the October 15, 2007 regular meeting, the Antioch Village Board approved an ordinance establishing regulations on the use of phosphorus-containing fertilizer.  The ordinance prohibits the use of any fertilizer, liquid or granular, which contains any amount of phosphorus or other compound containing phosphorus, such as phosphate.  For more information, see the approved ordinance by clicking on the above link.
