Animals The Village of Antioch does not require animal licensing, however, pets must have an updated rabies vaccination tag.
The MAXIMUM number of dogs, cats, or combination for lots up to 1/2 acre is 3.  Lots over 1/2 acre are allowed 4.
Animals running at large are prohibited, and animal wastes must be disposed of by the owner.

Bicycle Riding It is unlawful for a person to ride a bicycle, skateboard or roller blade on the sidewalks in the downtown business district.

Brush Pickup Brush pickup is a service provided by Waste Management through their contract with the Village of Antioch.  Waste Management will pick up brush that is tied into bundles no more than 4 feet long, 2 feet in diameter, and weighing no more than 50lbs.  Within each bundle, tree branches cannot be any larger than 2 inches in diameter.
Building Permits Permits are necessary for new construction, signs, fences, swimming pools, shoreline alterations and remodeling which involves structural, plumbing or electrical changes. Fees vary by project. For more information call (847) 395-9462.
 
Business Licenses Itinerant merchants and solicitors must obtain a license from the Village. The fee is $50.00 per day. New businesses should contact Village Hall during regular business hours for more information.
 
Curfew It is unlawful for anyone under 18 years old to be in a public park or other lands used for public purposes after 11:00 p.m. on weekdays and 12:00 a.m. on weekends or the day preceding a holiday. Those accompanied by a responsible adult, engaged in a lawful occupation, or attending a prearranged public activity are excused.
 
Garage Sales Permits are not required for Garage Sales within the Village, HOWEVER, any signs for garage sales must comply with the Village Sign Code.
Handicapped Parking Permits Application must be completed by both the applicant and physician. Applications are available at Village Hall. There is no charge to obtain a permit.
 
Leaf Collection Antioch’s Leaf Collection Program is a service provided by Waste Management through their contract with the Village of Antioch, and will take place each fall. Residents are asked to rake leaves to the curb where vacuum trucks will collect them. Residents are reminded that once the collection truck makes its final run in your neighborhood, it will not return to collect any additional leaves.  Click here for a leaf collection route map.
Parking

It shall be unlawful for the owner or operator of any vehicle to park said vehicle on any street in the village for a period longer than three (3) minutes for the loading or unloading of passengers, or for thirty (30) minutes for the loading or unloading of property at any time after snow begins to fall and exceeds one inch (1") of thickness, and said prohibition against parking shall continue until the snowplowing operations have ceased. Furthermore, for the purpose of facilitating the cleaning of streets, it shall be unlawful for the operator of any vehicle to stop, stand, or park such vehicle upon any street in the village between the hours of three o'clock (3:00) A.M. and six o'clock (6:00) A.M. on Tuesdays and Fridays on any week of each year.

Raffles Raffle licenses are required for any organization selling chances for a raffle within the Village.  Raffle License applications are available in our online documents.
Snow Removal The owners, occupants, or lessees of lots which abut a public sidewalk are required to clear snow after two inches has accumulated. Additionally, the owner is required to clear off accumulations of ice, sleet, or freezing rain. The responsible person is required to maintain the sidewalk in a reasonably clear condition.
Watering Restrictions Sprinkling Restrictions are effective June 1 through September 15 each year unless stated otherwise.  Watering is prohibited between the hours of 6 am and 8 pm.  Even numbered addresses may water on even numbered calendar days, and odd numbered addresses may water on odd numbered calendar days.

Antioch has a diverse employment base. Professionals, financial institutions, car dealerships, and retail stores draw from a trade area with the approximate borders of the Tri-State Tollway on the east, Route 31 on the west, Route 50 on the north and Grand Avenue to the south.
 
Tourism always has been an important part of the local economy. The numerous campgrounds and marinas are large employers. Antioch also has a large industrial park located adjacent to the Wisconsin Central Railway, north of Highway 173.
