New Village Board Meeting Practices

  •   Anyone wishing to speak should fill in the sign-up sheet before the meeting begins, stating their name, address, phone, and reason for speaking.  If speaking on an agenda item, please include the item number on the sign-up sheet.

  •   Citizens wishing to address the Board will be invited to make issue-oriented comments on any matter of public concern that is not otherwise on the agenda.

  •   Comments or questions regarding an agenda item will be allowed after a presentation by staff on that item, but before the board votes on the issue.

  •   Citizens will be allowed three minutes to speak or ask questions.

Please keep in mind that there may not be an immediate answer to some questions, particularly if it is the first time the concern is heard.  Staff may be asked to follow up with some specific questions or concerns.

As announced at the February 4, 2008 Village Board Meeting, any future correspondence addressed to the Village Board will not be read aloud at the meetings, but will be entered into the record and made available for copying or inspection pursuant to FOIA requirements.

Vehicle Tax Program

Vehicle Stickers are no longer required for your vehicle.  The Village Board of Trustees voted in March to eliminate the vehicle sticker program.  In its place, residents will see a fee for the vehicle tax added to their water and sewer bills.  The annual fee of $20 per household will be applied to your utility bill over six billing periods.  If you are a senior citizen wishing to receive a discount of $18 on your vehicle tax, you must complete the appropriate form at the Village Hall.  Please make sure you bring your proof of age document.  Any resident owning only one vehicle may  sign a statement requesting a $10 credit towards their vehicle tax.  Please go to our Forms page to download the vehicle tax credit application.

Pay Your Utility Bill Online! Brought to you by Illinois E-PAY

The Village of Antioch is pleased to bring you a more convenient method to pay your utility (water and sewer) bill. Click on E-Pay to link to the Illinois State Treasurer's Office EPAY website. You will then be able to use your credit or debit card or electronic check to pay your utility bill. A nominal convenience fee is added to your total bill for the use of this system. This fee is not charged or collected by the Village of Antioch. Master Card, American Express, Discover and E-Checks are accepted. Point of Service credit card payments will also be accepted for your utility bill in the Clerk’s Office at the Antioch Village Hall. These pilot programs may expand to other Village of Antioch payment types at some time in the future.
