Redevelopment of the Marketplace property into a vibrant mixed-use space. 3. Conversion of the old Village Hall into a modern, three-story building with retail and residential use. His steady leadership has guided us through key transitions. Geoff will continue in both roles until a full-time Administrator is hired - a process officially approved by the Village Board this week. The Village will begin hydrant flushing this coming Sunday (October 12, 2025) in the evening. This routine maintenance helps to ensure that all hydrants are functioning properly and water quality remains high. During flushing, residents may notice temporary water discoloration: if this occurs, simply run the water for a few minutes until it clears. The Water Department also recommends checking your water before doing laundry to avoid any staining. Flushing is expected to continue for approximately four weeks. Antioch Mayor Scott Gartner is urging the community to help complete the funding for the long-awaited Veterans Memorial. With about $100,000 still needed, the Village is nearing completion of this permanent tribute to local service members. Designed as a place of honor and reflection for all who have served in our nation’s armed forces, the Memorial has been made possible through the dedication of a volunteer-led nonprofit and the generosity of local donors, bringing the project closer to becoming a reality.
