Fire Hydrant Flushing

Fire Hydrant Flushing
The Village of Antioch Public Works Department will begin flushing fire hydrants starting this Sunday, May 3, 2026, at 11:00 p.m. The flushing will take place throughout the village for approximately one week. This is a partial flushing and will include hydrants located on dead-end roads and cul-de-sacs. Flushing is conducted as a vital protective measure for preventative maintenance.
Please be aware that flushing may cause your water to become discolored. It is advised by the Village’s Water Department to run your water for a few minutes before use. This is especially important to remember before doing your laundry.
