Hydrant Flushing Fall 2025

The Village will begin hydrant flushing on the evening of Sunday, October 12. This routine maintenance helps ensure that all hydrants are functioning properly and that water quality remains high. During flushing, residents may notice temporary water discoloration; if this occurs, simply run the water for a few minutes until it clears. The Water Department also recommends checking your water before doing laundry to avoid any staining.


Flushing is expected to continue for approximately four weeks. Signs will be posted in each neighborhood when crews are working in your area. The tentative schedule is as follows:


  • October 13 - Near 40 W Route 173, 360 W Route 173 / 350 W. Route 173, Buena Terrace, Windsor Terrace, Margate, and near 1500 Main St,. Ram Rd., Bartlett, 283 W Route 173, Laursen Court, Anita, Longview, Garys, Burnett, East Depot and 433 Depot streets.
  • October 14 - Pine Hill Lakes and Windmill Creek Subdivision, Anita Terrace 800 W Route 173, Midnight Pass, North Avenue, Drom Court, Arbors of Windmill Creek, Garys and Longview drives.
  • October 15 - Oakwood Knolls, 983 Route 59/1001 Route 59, Osmond, Filweber Court, Lake Street, Harden, Jewel, Plum Tree, Asbury, Hillside, Williams Park, Orchard Street Crest Lane.
  • October 16 - Phillips Circle, Alima, Joanna Court, Pamela Court, Oakridge Village, Woods of Antioch, 305 Depot Street and North Route 83 past North Avenue.
  • October 17 - Trevor Creek, Antioch Manor, Tiffany Farms, 800 Highview, West Route173, Edelweiss, Hennings Court, Mystic Cove/ Bayshore, Heron Harbor.
