Antioch Police Response Update
In an effort to reduce the potential exposure to Coronavirus (COVID-19) by police first responders, the Antioch Police Department will temporarily be adjusting response procedures.
Antioch Police Officers will only be responding in person to high-priority and emergency calls including, but not limited to, vehicle crashes, burglaries, domestic and non-domestic disturbances, and all other crimes against persons.
To file a report or complaint that is of a non-emergency nature, the public is asked to continue to call the non-emergency line at (847) 395-8585. The telecommunicator will take the required information and an officer will contact you as soon as possible via telephone to handle the call for service. A similar procedure will be utilized for those who attempt to make in-person reports in the west-lobby of the police department. In situations, where a complainant does not have access to a phone, an officer will respond in a traditional manner. Examples of non-emergency calls include, but are not limited to, low-value theft reports, damage to property, informational calls, and ordinance violations.
The community is reminded to call 9-1-1 in an emergency for an immediate police response. Click here to read more about our services.
