Metra

Metra’s commuter rail line made its inaugural run in August of 1996. Commuters now enjoy service of five weekday inbound and outbound trains between Antioch and Chicago’s Union Station. The train makes stops in ten communities, as well as a stop at O’Hare International Airport, Remote Parking Lot F. The total length of the train’s run is 53 miles.

Metra Parking

Daily
Daily parking is available at the Antioch Metra Station for $1.50 per day.  Parking Spaces are assigned numbers, and there is a metal drop-box at the depot to submit your payment for your spot number.  There is no charge for handicapped parking.

Extended Parking
Extended parking is available by pre-paying for the number of days you plan on staying at the station.  To pay for your extended stay, you must submit your total payment for the length of time you will be parking at the station ($1.50/day). When placing your payment in the drop-box, include a note with your vehicle information (year, make, model, lic. plate), your spot number, and the length of time you plan on staying parked at the station.  This will ensure that you don’t get a ticket, and allows the police to monitor the vehicle after hours.

Parking Passes
Railway commuters may purchase a monthly parking pass for $30 per month at the Village Hall or via mail.  Monthly passes are not pro-rated, and may be purchased in advance for future months.
